I am the Merry Marathoner. I am not really what most people would consider a "fast runner," but that doesn't mean that I'm not a real runner. As, Bart Yasso (@BartYasso) says:
"I often hear someone say 'I'm not a real runner.' We are all runners, some just run faster than others. I never met a fake runner"
So, even though I'm not a fast runner, I am a HAPPY runner. I LOVE running! I'm never happier than when I'm out there pounding the pavement, putting in the miles, training for my next race. I've run most of my life. But after taking a two year hiatus, running saved my sanity while my husband was unexpectedly deployed to Afghanistan in 2011. Since then, running has been my outlet. I think about running on a daily basis. Nothing makes me happier than a long run.
Okay, I'm not sure if another person will ever read this blog, but on the off-hand chance that anyone wanders here, this blog is to awaken the passion for running in anyone and everyone, regardless of age, skill, or experience.
Enjoy! and I wish you many Merry Miles!!
♥Merry Marathoner
